IDEAL STANDARD EXPANDS IDEALRAIN PRO RANGE WITH NEW DDA COMPLIANT SHOWERS

Ideal Standard, a leader in innovative and design-driven bathroom solutions, has added two new shower systems designed with less abled users in mind to its Idealrain Pro range, an extensive collection of existing products including shower roses, hand sprays and complementary accessories, which both look good and are easy to maintain.

The new systems are especially useful for establishments which need to meet the compliance requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), particularly hotels where 10 per cent of the rooms have to be DDA compliant.

Manufactured at Ideal Standard’s factory in Germany, the new additions to Idealrain Pro comprise a fixed riser, diverter and, with one option offering an accompanying round rainshower and handspray and the other a cube rainshower and handspray. Both are based on the Idealrain Dual shower system but now come with two improvements; a metal slider with twist-to-lock action and pin handle to match diverter and single function handsprays which are better suited to less able users.

Each system is now in stock and features dynamic components such as its thin profile metal 200ml rainshower, a unique WRAS approved 1.8 Idealflex smooth metal effect hose, a DDA compliant single function Idealrain M1 handspray and a new hose retainer which has been approved for category five protection. What’s more, both options are available with an adjustable wall bracket and optional 150mm extension kit. The handles for each shower is constructed from chromed brass for quality and durability.

Jeff Williams at Ideal Standard, comments: “These two new products within our successful Idealrain Pro collection combine stylish aesthetics with absolute practicality, whilst also offering a comfortable and invigorating shower. The easy-to-use components makes showering super simple, while also providing an attractive addition to any bathroom. In particular, we’ve worked to ensure that both showers are DDA compliant, allowing establishments such as hotels to meet legal requirements while being safe in the knowledge that their customers are able to use a quality bathroom solution.”
