My background is retail, so when I left University I worked with Virgin Megastores as a full times sales assistant and worked my way up to the Store Management Future Leadership programme. After a few years I was managing a store. I stayed with Virgin for five years. Then I moved to Unilever in a sales role, selling to retailers and was promoted to manage a team of account managers.
